The North East London Social Work Teaching Partnership (NELTP) is looking for participants to join focus groups that will help challenge barriers and discriminatory practices, preventing those from Black, Asian and/or minoritised communities from career progress.
We acknowledge that there is disproportionate representation of Black, Asian and minoritised ethnicity staff at most senior levels of Local Authorities (senior management & director) and we aim to deliver meaningful and tangible change by creating lasting networks and empowering the next ethnically diverse generation of leaders.
To take part, you need to be an adult (18 years of age or older) and identify as part of the Black, Asian and/or other minoritised community.
The project is optional at every stage. Even though we would really appreciate your help, your participation is entirely voluntary.
• Focus group will include 8 people from across the partnership.
• Focus group will be held online – via Microsoft Teams.
• There are no right or wrong answers in a discussion of this kind – we are simply interested in your opinions.
• The content of the focus group will be audio recorded. The research team will never share your details with your workplace.
• The discussion will be open-ended and facilitated by an experienced researchers from the University of East London and London Metropolitan University with competence in this method.
Dates of meetings:
If you agree to be part of the focus groups, you will be contacted via email by Research Assistant, Anna Jakobczak with more information about project.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
