Online Focus Group – Racial Equity and Career Progression in Social Work Research Project

The North East London Social Work Teaching Partnership (NELTP) is organising a series of Focus Groups as a part of the Racial Equity and Career Progression in Social Work research project. The research project funded by the Department for Education will be carried out until Autumn 2022.

We are currently looking for social workers interested in joining two experienced Senior Lecturers from the University of East London in online discussions between February and March. The conversations will reflect the work progression barriers that Black, Asian, and/or minoritised communities face and analyse how to ensure each individuals can flourish within our partnership. We aim to provide a workplace characterised by greater diversity and to develop better and more structured career planning and opportunities processes.

If you are interested in being part of the group consisting of Social Work professionals from across the partnership between February and March, please register your interest here:

If joining after March might be more convenient for you, we are potentially planning two more focus groups in the spring, summer and autumn period. Please register by using the same form above.

If you completed the form, you will be contacted by Research Assistant with more details about the project and meetings in the coming days.

The research team will not process any form of shared Personal Data/Special Category Personal Data in a way that is incompatible with the purposes of the research project. Your personal data will never be shared with your workplace.

Thank you for your consideration!

Hearing your insight and guidance about how we can create a more inclusive workplace that attracts diverse skills and backgrounds will be invaluable.
